| On January 31st, 2022 at 0814hrs. East Whiteland Fire Company was dispatched to Rt. 202 / 17.8 SB for an accident involving an overturned tractor-trailer. While units were in route Chester County Fire Radio advised that they were getting reports that the driver was trapped inside of the tractor, and they were upgrading the assignment to an accident with entrapment, which added the Medic from Malvern Fire Company.
Units arrived confirming the report of a tractor-trailer laying on the driver’s side with the driver trapped. Command due to the extent of entrapment requested an additional rescue truck from the West Whiteland Fire Company, and MICU 3-2 from Paoli Fire Company to assist.
East Whiteland Fire Police assisted Pennsylvania State Police with traffic control to help protect the crews during and after the accident.

Emergency personnel were operating on the scene for approximately 2 hours.
