On Saturday, September 25th, 2021 crews from Station 5 participated in two community events and assisted Kimberton Fire Company (Station 61) with a residential fire.

Saturday morning Engine 5 participated in Charlestown Day at the Charlestown Township park along with Rescue 61 from Kimberton Fire Company. While at Charlestown Day, Station 61 was alerted of a residential fire in the 100 block of Red Fox Lane in East Pikeland Township, due to close proximity Engine 5 was added to the assignment and responded with Rescue 61. Engine 5 arrived as the second due engine and stood by at the hydrant in case there was a need for a water supply. Crews from 61 and 5 investigated a smoke condition inside the residence that ended up being a ceiling fan motor that had overheated. The response was held to Station 61 (Kimberton Fire Company), Engine 5 (East Whiteland Fire Company), and Station 65 (Phoenixville Fire Department) units. Engine 5 operated for approximately 45 minutes before returning available.

Later in the day, Engine 5 traveled to Exton Park to participate in the West Whiteland Township Community Day. Crews showed community members around the apparatus and were informed about East Whiteland Townships' Smoke Detector program.
