| This summer, the Main Line Chamber of Commerce, through the Main Line Chamber Foundation, awarded two East Whiteland Fire Company volunteer firefighters scholarships.
The Main Line Chamber Foundation was established in 2001 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. One of the goals of the foundation is to award scholarships to local volunteer firefighters and EMTs. Numerous volunteers from around the area were awarded scholarships of varying size by the Chamber Foundation this year.
Station 5 had two members receive awards. Firefighter Evan Reed and Firefighter Dan Sheridan each received a $1,000 scholarship towards furthering their education.
Since joining, both have been very active and have served our community in many facets including emergency incidents, training, fundraisers and other events.
Congratulations to Evan and Dan! |
