It is with great respect and admiration that we remember Frank H. Riepen Jr., who passed away on January 4, 2025. Frank’s life was defined by his unwavering dedication to his community, particularly through his many years of service with the East Whiteland Township Volunteer Fire Association, the Goshen Fire Company, and as a Navy veteran.
As a volunteer firefighter and EMT, Frank was a true pillar of support for his neighbors and fellow first responders. His commitment to keeping others safe, often at personal risk, made him an invaluable member of our station and community. Frank’s service went far beyond just responding to emergencies—he was a mentor, a friend, and someone who always put others first.
Frank's legacy is one of selflessness, kindness, and a profound sense of duty. His contributions to the East Whiteland Township Volunteer Fire Association will continue to inspire all who follow in his footsteps. We are grateful for his years of service and for the countless lives he touched.
This is Frank’s wife, Diann, Clay, Kayla and his grandchildren greatly appreciate these wonderful, very true comments! I wanted to add that we used to have a Christmas Fire Company Caroling activity, when Keith Fennimore and his troop of elves would cover Engine 51 in Christmas lights, Jerry Godfrey, community veterinarian initially played the role of Santa (as he needed no stuffing - years later Frank loved filling this role!) we were up at Camilla Hall and I heard a man singing with the most amazing baritone voice! It was Frank! We grew to be friends but he never asked me out? So I made the move and asked him and all my friends surrounded the ambulance after our call so he couldn’t get away or say no!! We were married year later!! When we got married, Frank got dressed at Station 5 and someone Ralph Pizzi) wrote Help Save Me on the soles of Frank’s shoes. Everyone could see it when we knelt at the altar!!!!
