Just after midnight on Friday, July 14th, 2023, the East Whiteland Fire Company was dispatched to an accident with entrapment on Northbound Route 202. Arriving units found two vehicles with entrapment, Command was established and requested additional resources from the Malvern Fire Company, the Uwchlan Ambulance Corps, the Goshen Fire Company, the Paoli Fire Company, the West Whiteland Fire Company, and the Berwyn Fire Company. Crews shut down Route 202 throughout the duration of the accident. While operating on the scene, Command was alerted to another accident on Route 202, Ambulance 2, Medic 2, and Rescue 6 were diverted to assess that accident. While still operating on the scene, Command was also alerted to a pole fire in the area of Hillbrook Circle, the crew from Engine 5 and Deputy Chief 5 covered this call.
