On July 4th 2022 at 2120 hours the East Whiteland Fire Company (Station 5) was dispatched along with mutual aid from Malvern Fire Company (Station 4), Paoli Fire Company (Station 3) , Berwyn Fire Company (Station 2), Valley Forge Fire Company (Station 68), to the 500 Block of South Atwater Drive for the reported house fire. Rescue 5, Brush 5, and Ambulance 5-2 were all standing by for Chester Valley Golf Club Fireworks and responded immediately upon dispatch. Ambulance 5-2 arrived on location and reported a 4 story town house with fire showing from the attached garage to the rear of the building. Rescue 5 arrived as the first due engine and began fire attack. Engine 2-1 arrived on location as the second due engine and laid 5 inch supply line to the scene to supply Rescue 5. Crews operated on scene for approximately 2 hours before clearing.
