A traffic accident overnight brought units from the East Whiteland Fire Company to Phoenixville Pike near the Great Valley High School, just north of Route 401 in East Whiteland Township. The accident was reported serious with a utility pole involved, causing a power outage in the area. Traffic lights were also out at Route 401 and Phoenixville Pike. East Whiteland Fire Police were on location for several hours providing traffic control while Phoenixville Pike was closed. Be prepared for possible delays into the morning hours as PECO crews are restoring power in the area. Travel lanes on Phoenixville Pike may be effected.
