At 7:37 PM (1937 hours), on January 15, 2024, during the Company meeting, Station 5 was dispatched to an accident with a report of a vehicle into a ditch on Ravine Road. Shortly after the dispatch, the Chester County Department of Emergency Services 9-1-1 Communications Center received a report that the occupants were unable to exit the vehicle due to the angle in which the vehicle was stuck, and the accident was upgraded to an accident with entrapment, adding a MICU from the Uwchlan Ambulance Corps (Station 87). Station 5’s crews stabilized the vehicle and assisted the occupants in exiting it safely. Station 5’s Traffic unit and Utility 5 along with personnel from the East Whiteland Township Police Department shut down Ravine Road in both directions.

Roads can easily become slick with snow and ice, avoid driving if possible, use caution if you do have to drive, and leave room between you and the car in front of you.
