At 09:26 PM (2123 Hours) the East Whiteland Fire Company along with mutual aid was dispatched to Fillippo Way in Charlestown Township for a building fire, with initial reports that there was an Air Conditioner (AC) unit on the roof that was on fire.

Engine 5 arrived on the scene to confirm the report of a smoking AC unit. Captain 5C assumed command and requested that with the exception of Engine 5, Rescue 5, and Tower 3, all other incoming apparatus was to stage off Whitehorse Road. Crews worked to extinguish the fire and remained on the scene for approximately 1.5 hours before clearing the scene.
