On Saturday, June 4th, 2022, at 14:17 hours (2:17PM), the East Whiteland Fire Company (Station 5) was dispatched to an unknown fire emergency in the area of Malin Road and Lancaster Avenue. The assignment was quickly upgraded to a dumpster fire. Upon arrival on scene, the crew on Engine 5 ran a supply line from the nearest fire hydrant. Station 5 Fire Police were dispatched to assist the East Whiteland Township Police Department in the temporary closure of the Malin Road entrance of the Lincoln Court shopping center. The fire was quickly brought under control and crews operated on scene for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
