Busy Afternoon for East Whiteland Crews

On Tuesday, April 26th, 2022, at approximately 1300 hours (1:00 pm), the East Whiteland Fire Company (Station 5), along with Medic 4 from the Malvern Fire Company (Station 4), were dispatched to the area of Swedesford Road and Conestoga Road for an ALS accident. Crews arrived on the scene and canceled Medic 4. East Whiteland EMS transported one patient to Paoli Hospital. While Station 5 units were clearing the accident, Station 5 was alerted to the 1100 Block of North Chester Road to assist the Goshen Fire Company (Station 54/56) as mutual aid with a residential fire.

Rescue 5 responded with a crew of 3. Engine 56 arrived on location as the first due engine and reported fire showing from a 20x30 cottage. Rescue 5 arrived on location as the 2nd due engine, and Ambulance 5-2 arrived on location as well. Station 5 crews assisted Goshen Fire Company units with fire suppression and overhaul, Rescue 5 supplied Engine 56 with their tank water. Units operated on scene for approximately 1 hour before being released by command.
