Accident with Entrapment on State Road

On June 8th at 12:35 pm, East Whiteland Fire Company was dispatched along with a paramedic unit from Malvern Fire Company to the area of 4181 State Road in Charlestown Township for an accident reported with entrapment. Responding units arrived to find that a cement truck had lost control, rolled off of the road onto it's side, and had come to rest over the guard rail up against a set of trees. Deputy 5C assumed command of the incident, and crews worked for approximately 30 minutes to stabilize the vehicle and extricate the driver who was uninjured.

Rescue 5 and Ambulance 5-1 remained on location until towing personnel could remove the cement truck from the area. There were no Injuries to any civilians or responders during this incident.
