East Whiteland Fire Police were dispatched at 6:26 p.m. Monday to assist the Pennsylvania State Police with traffic control and road closures due to a large tree and power lines down on the roadway at Sidley Hill Road and Blackberry Lane in Charlestown Township. Immediate action is required whenever power lines are a threat to public safety. We thank Charlestown Township Fire Marshal Tim Hubbard for assistance at the scene.
