The East Whiteland Fire Company and Malvern Fire Company Medic Unit were dispatched Friday morning at 11:47 for a traffic accident with entrapment. East Whiteland Ambulance 5-1 arrived on Morehall Road (Route 29) at Great Valley Parkway in East Whiteland Township to find the driver trapped and conscious. Engine 5-2 arrived with the crew providing stabilization and extrication efforts by removing car doors and roof with the Hurst Rescue tool. The patient was removed and transported in Ambulance 5-2 with Medic 4 to Paoli Hospital. East Whiteland Township Police were on location while East Whiteland Fire Police provided traffic control and closed north-bound Route 29 at Valley Stream Parkway. A quick response and great work by all personnel.
