The East Whiteland Township Volunteer Fire Company hosted the Chester County Traffic Incident Management Task Force Meeting on Thursday morning July 21st from 10AM until Noon. Chris King of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission hosted the meeting with East Whiteland Fire Company host Special Fire Police Captain Tommy Cockerham. The task force is formed from various responders in law enforcement, fire, EMS, towing, PennDOT, traffic control, and highway safety personnel to assess and plan for contingencies and emergencies on area highways and roadways. The task force operates on the guidelines of the National Traffic Incident Management System from the Federal Highway Administration and U.S. Department of Transportation. We were very happy to host the July meeting.
