At around 12:30 am, the Berwyn Fire Company (Station 2) was dispatched along with Stations 3 (Paoli) and Delaware County 15 (Radnor) for a house fire in the 200 block of Devonshire Rd, Tredyffrin Township.

Berwyn Assistant Chief Eamon Brazunas arrived on location and reported fire showing from a 2 story single family home, with all occupants safely evacuated. Additional resources were called in from the Valley Forge (St. 68) and Malvern (St. 4) fire companies.

A 2nd alarm was later requested by Chief Matt Norris for additional personnel to assist with fire suppression. This brought firefighters from the Newtown Square (Delco 41) and East Whiteland fire companies to the scene.

Firefighters from all organizations battled the cold weather and a steep snow covered front yard to extinguish the fire. The Chester County Fire Marshal's Office and the PA State Police Fire Marshal's Office are investigating the cause of the fire. There was no reported firefighter injuries, but one civilian was transported to a local hospital to be evaluate.
