In the early morning of February 20, 2016, two EMT's responded to a location in Honey Brook Township, Chester County, to assist with the delivery of a baby girl. East Whiteland EMS Captain Kevin McCarthy along with his partner Jose Santiago helped to bring that new life into the world. McCarthy and Santiago received the "Pre-hospital Delivery Commendation" award for their actions. Congratulations to all the EMT's at the award ceremonies for their good work. Chester County is very fortunate to have wonderful emergency service departments and personnel.
