East Whiteland Fire Company was dispatched at 6:03 pm Sunday for a brush fire off of Blackberry Lane in Charlestown Township. East Whiteland Brush 5 and Engine 5-1 both responded as well as Fire Police. The fire area was contained and hot spots were then extinguished by Firefighters with wild-land tools. We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to be very careful during this time of dry conditions when fires can easily start and rapidly progress. Until we receive substantial rain and brush greens-up, please use caution with any source of combustion.
