A fire dispatch at 01:36 hrs Friday brought East Whiteland, Malvern, and Berwyn Fire Companies to Kelmar Ave in East Whiteland Township for a building fire. A fire originating in the front of the building quickly spread with a threat to the existing residence, but was contained due to the quick response from fire personnel. East Whiteland and Malvern were on the fire scene while Berwyn provided the Rapid Intervention Team as protocol for a building fire. A great job by all fire, police, fire police, and fire marshals on the scene.
