On November 22, 2013, members of the East Whiteland Fire Company gathered together for the official groundbreaking ceremony at Conestoga Road and Mill Lane in East Whiteland Township. Township and other officials as well as employees of IMC Construction Company also attended. This was a very important occasion due to our company having been in the same building for 56 years. Knowing that plans were underway for a new fire station brought interest, excitement, and hope. In May of 2014, blasting operations began on the building site and continued for the next several months. Once the site location was level, supplies were delivered and work began on the foundation. The next thing we knew, walls were going up, and the busy workers from IMC Construction Company did a great job in delivering a brand new beautiful fire station. There were many people who spent a lot of time in the planning and construction of this project including our own fire company president Gary Sheridan. The members of the fire company were invited to a walk-thru once a month to see the progress of the building, hosted by IMC Construction Company. On one occasion a barbecue was hosted by Rob Fenza of Liberty Property Trust. Now that we are settled in our new home, all the members and personnel are very grateful to have such a wonderful place to work from and enjoy. Thank you to everyone involved for making this dream come true.
