At around 19:30 hours (7:30 pm) Station 3 (Paoli) was dispatched to a reported house fire in the 2300 block of Pheasant Hill Lane in Tredyffrin Township.

The Tredyffrin Township Police Department arrived first and reported heavy fire from the roof. Chief 3 (Dutter) arrived confirming fire through the roof of a two story home at 19:40 hrs and established command. Chief 3 requested full companies from Stations 2 (Berwyn) and 4 (Malvern) and tankers to help due to sparse hydrant coverage from Station 61 (Kimberton) and 5.

Crews from Malvern, Paoli, Berwyn, East Whiteland and Kimberton worked to extinguish the fire on a cold night. The fire was placed under control just before 9 pm with crews remaining on location to overhaul and check for hot spots for several hours after.

The Chester County Fire Marshal's Office investigated the cause of the fire per standard protocol. The home suffered significant fire and smoke damage. Fortunately, there was no reported firefighter injuries and the homeowners escaped safely.
