The groundbreaking ceremony for the new fire station was last November at Route 401 and Mill Lane in East Whiteland Township. In May and June 2014 blasting was conducted at the site to remove 28,000 cubic yards of earth and stone, and now it is looking like a building with block being installed at the new site. Many thanks to Jim Deamer, Superintendent with IMC Construction Company, Michael Ebright, Assistant Project Manager with IMC, and Dave Ream from Allan A. Myers Company for working so closely with the fire company and keeping us updated and advised of progress. Our own, East Whiteland Fire Company President Gary Sheridan has spent many hours in meetings and discussions in order to make this project a reality. The project would not have been possible without help from East Whiteland Township and the Friends of East Whiteland Fire Company. Thank you to everyone involved. We will be keeping you updated on the progress of the new East Whiteland Fire House, Station 5.
