Last week, the East Whiteland Fire Company received the sad news that one of our members and current Fire Police Lieutenant Bob Bressi discovered and was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The cancer has been extremely fast moving, causing a rapid decline in the health of Lieutenant Bressi, and he is now receiving hospice care at the Coatesville VA Hospital.

To help cover the costs of his funeral, a community fund has been established for Lt. Bressi at Penn Liberty Bank. If you are willing and are able, please write a check payable to Bob Bressi and send or drop off at:

Penn Liberty Bank
199 Lancaster Ave.
Malvern, PA, 19355
Please write Community Cares on the remitter line

Also, to help make Lieutenant Bressi's last days more comfortable and filled with love, we are embarking on a card writing campaign to Lt. Bressi. By inundating him with cards thanking him for his dedication and service to his country and community, we hope to surround him by community love, and make his transition a more peaceful one. It is important to note that in addition to his many years of service to our local community, Lieutenant Bressi also served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

If you would like to send a card or note (or even visit him if you're so inclined), please send them to:

Coatesville VA Medical Center
1400 Blackhorse Hill Rd.
Coatesville, PA, 19320
Attn: Robert Bressi
Building 1
Room 244

Thank you for your support!
