On Sunday, May 5th, a crew from East Whiteland took Engine 5-2 to join up with the South Eastern PA (SEPA) Fire Task Force on a simulated deployment.

The SEPA Task Force is comprised of fire companies from across Chester, Bucks, Montgomery, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties, and can rapidly deploy resources in the event of a large scale incident.

Engine 5-2 met up with other Chester county companies at the government services center at 0700 hrs (7 am) and met up with the rest of the task force at the Tinicum Fire Dept. (Delaware County). Engine 5-2 was ordered to assist with water supply operations on a simulated large warehouse fire scenario. Upon arrival, Engine 5-2 rendezvoused with the Philadelphia Fire Dept. fire-boat Independence and 2 other engines, and laid a 5" large diameter hose line to supply water to a ladder truck with arial master streams.

The drill concluded at approximation 1200 hrs (12 noon).

Other participating fire companies from Chester County included Stations 2 (Berwyn), 47 (Lionville), 53 (West Chester - Fame), and 65 (Phoenixville).
