Help Us Help You - Become A Friend of the East Whiteland Fire Company

The East Whiteland Fire Company needs YOUR help today. The company has officially embarked on a capital campaign project to raise money to build a new firehouse.

Organized by a group of concerned citizens in 1952, the East Whiteland Fire Company, Chester County Station 5, is celebrating 60 years of service to the community.

The volunteer fire company provides Fire, Rescue, Basic Life Support EMS, HazMat, and Fire-Police services for East Whiteland Township and parts of Charlestown Township. The company is also the primary EMS provider to parts o neighboring West Whiteland Township. IN addition to residential neighborhoods, the "first due" coverage includes Routes 29, 202, 30, 401, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, Immaculata University, and numerous business parks and retail centers.

Built in 1958, the existing station is too small to house fire and ambulance apparatus, equipment, and support functions. The current fire house is not centrally located, which negatively impacts response time. The firehouse does not meet building, fire, or ADA codes. The deteriorating condition of the facility and the outdated nature of the structure hinders 24/7 capabilities, equipment maintenance, training, community outreach, and ongoing recruitment of volunteers.

To help our dedicated volunteers protect our community, the Friends of East Whiteland Fire and Ambulance Company (FEWFA) was organized in 2007 to lead the fundraising efforts for a new fire station. The FEWFA was created by business leaders and members of the East Whiteland Township community.

The need is great and the time is now. We thank you in advance for your support.
