Units were dispatched to the Franklin Auto Spa for a report of smoke in the building. Upon their arrival crews discovered heavy smoke in the unoccupied business. Firefighters entered the structure and extinguished a fire that was in one of the dryers and in the garage area. The large industrial dryers are utilized to dry towels. The fire did extend past the dryer unit and caused damage to the immediate area. Assisting units were from the Berwyn , Malvern, West Whiteland and Goshen Fire Companies. The East Whiteland Township and Chester County Fire Marshals are conducting the investigation as to the cause of the fire.
