The East Whiteland Fire Company sends our deepest condolences to the Perryville, Maryland Fire Department and the family of Lieutenant Brian Williams who was fatally struck on Sunday. Williams was operating a tow truck attempting to tow a disabled vehicle when he was struck. Struck by incidents to Emergency Responders has become a national epidemic on highways and roadways. A bill to increase fines for those failing to Slow Down and Mover Over for Pennsylvania's "Steer Clear Law" has been sent to the state house for approval. We would like to remind motorists to be alert and use care when approaching an emergency incident on the highway by Slowing Down and Moving Over into another lane. We are out there to help you, so please help us by observing Slow Down/Move Over
