Today’s East Whiteland EMS is vastly different than what we started out with nearly 40 years ago. While we started out with borrowing an ambulance, East Whiteland now proudly owns two ambulances, our newest one being delivered to the station in November of last year. Our EMTs are keeping busy. Our EMS services were called for 88 times last month and so far East Whiteland EMS has responded to almost 400 calls this year alone. As we’ve discussed earlier, East Whiteland EMS has a rich history and one we’re proud of. Today, however, we’ve been looking at the present and future. East Whiteland recently unveiled refrigerator cards for individuals living in East Whiteland Township, providing much needed information quickly and efficiently`. Today’s EMTs also have to take extensive training courses, obtain certifications and re-certifications in order to stay current. Check back tomorrow to see what we have planned for the future!

East Whiteland Fire Company is always looking for volunteers, if you’re interested in becoming a member of our EMS services come by the station on Monday nights from 7-9 P.M. to obtain more information and pick-up an application.
