The East Whiteland Fire Police received four traffic control barrels which will be kept in their emergency response vehicle, Traffic 5. Fire Police Captain Tommy Cockerham said the four barrels were purchased and delivered the next day by a friend of the fire company. The barrels are bright orange with white stripes and will be used with other Temporary Traffic Control Devices at road closures and temporary detour routes on the highway. Because of their larger size, the barrels can be seen from a greater distance, thereby providing a greater margin of safety to responders and motorists. We thank our friend for the generous contribution.
