The East Whiteland Fire Company received a dispatch for a traffic accident reported serious at 6:32 p.m. Thursday on the Route 202 north-bound off ramp to business Route 30. It was imperative to get the off ramp closed as soon as possible so that emergency responders could have access to the accident scene and patient. Fire Police arrived immediately to close the Route 30 ramps while Route 202 Safety Service Patrol trucks closed the ramp from Route 202. East Whiteland Fire Company Ambulance 5-1, Engine 5-2, Fire Police, Malvern Fire Company Medic 4-1, East Whiteland Township Police, Pennsylvania State Police and Abel Brothers Towing were all on location. We are grateful for the immediate and professional assistance from the Route 202 Safety Service Patrol Units, which are on patrol 24 hours a day during the Route 202 Construction for the next several years.
