With the possibility of measurable snow coming through Thursday, the East Whiteland Fire Company reminds residents and homeowners to clear your nearest hydrant of snow. An area of 3 ft. around the hydrant will greatly help if we need to connect hose lines in the event of a fire emergency at your home or a neighbor. It is also a good idea as part of "Adopt a Hydrant" in your neighborhood, to monitor hydrants in your vicinity to make sure they are accessible to the fire department at all times. Vehicles or obstructions should not be parked or blocking a hydrant. Helping us, so we can help you, is a beneficial partnership in public safety. Thank you. |
