The new Wawa convenience store - Store # 8091 - is now open at 605 Morehall Road at the entrance to the Atwater development (Route 29) in East Whiteland Township. At the grand opening ceremonies Friday morning, a hoagie making contest was held between the East Whiteland Township Police Department and the East Whiteland Fire Company. Congratulations are in order to our East Whiteland Township Police Department in their victory with a final score of 35 to 27. Wawa donated funds to charities of both departments. The other Wawa convenience stores in East Whiteland Township are store 205 at 5 Matthews Road and store 208 at 567 Lancaster Avenue in Frazer. Thanks to our friend Bob Kelly of Fox 29 for the photos.
