The East Whiteland Fire Company joins in the effort of preventing injury and death to children from Tip-Over accidents in the home by urging the securing of top-heavy furniture, television/monitors, and removing tempting objects from the tops of furniture. Every 30 minutes, tipped furniture or a falling television, sends an injured child to the hospital emergency department. Every day, 71 children are injured or killed from falling furniture, television, or appliance.
